FC_poster.JPGGlowBrain Final Conference took place at hotel Dubrovnik in Zagreb from May 27-30, 2015. Apart from superlatives our guest had for GlowBrain team organisational effort, here are some of the impressive numbers to describe the event. The Conference included a public lecture event, a total of 38 lectures by as many invited speakers and 17 poster presentations by conference atendees.

The public event brought two interesting lectures entitled "Development of single chain antibodies for treatment of neurogenerative diseases" (presented by Prof. Jean-Pierre Julien, PhD from Quebec, Canada) and "Can the glowing mouse help fight the stroke?" (presented by Prof. Srećko Gajović, MD, PhD from Zagreb, Croatia, coordinator of EU FP7 project GlowBrain). The event was open access with the aim to raise awareness of the debilitating neurogenerative diseases and the need for their prevention and further research. The event was documented and is available in our GlowBrain TV page.

In the days that followed 36 experts presented their work in the field of stroke, neural regeneration, stem cells and innovative biomaterial application. This stimulating programme supported interesting debates and networking opportunities. The participants were also offered a chance to visit the construction site of the new Neuroimaging laboratory at the University of Zagreb School of Medicine.

On Friday, May 29, 2015 GlowBrain Steering Committee meeting took place.

The programme as well as the photographs of the whole GlowBrain Final conference are available in the photo gallery.
