Last sounds of Massimo Savić's music and smiles of the guests of Night when brains are glowing shined by the lights of mobile phones marked the end of the beginning - end of the celebration of just the first anniversary of one of the most successful projects in Croatia and in the region, EU FP7 project GlowBrain.
Project GlowBrain participated in two important events: 7th Croatian Congress of Pharmacology and 4th Croatian Congress of Neuroscience, during which we proudly presented posters introducing the scientific community to the recent preliminary results of our research.

Researchers's Night took place in three major cities in Croatia in the evening hours of Friday, September 27th, 2013. The main objective was to provide the general public an opportunity to meet outstanding young researchers who actively conduct research in the service of life and health. This year, GlowBrain and Osteogrow from UZSM, got their chance to present their work.
On Thursday, March 27, 2014, project GlowBrain organised a public event at the hall of the Cineplexx theatre Kaptol Center Zagreb - world renowned scientists gave lectures on brain disease research. The event was also reported by Croatian national television HRT.
Croatian Institute for Brain Research was the host to numerous scinetists, guests of the first GlowBrain Workshop entitled "Stem Cell Techniques" that took place from May 23rd-25th, 2013.
Workshop on searching patent documentation held on June 14th, 2013 at the premises of the Croatian institute for brain research hosted over 20 scientists with the purpose of educating and raising awareness in the area of intellectual property management.
Acquisition of the equipment for monitoring bioluminescent and fluorescent markers (BLI) in small laboratory animals is an important step towards setting up a multimodal imaging complex.
The main objective of project GlowBrain is to upgrade the existing excellence in brain research with specific twist in activities based on development of stem cell and biomaterials applications. One way to achieve this is the exchange of know-how and experience with partners.
Croatian Brain Council organizes a Workshop entitled "Application of neural stem cells and mouse models in neuroscience". The Workshop will be held from October 2-5, 2013 at the premises of the Croatian Institute for Brain Research.
Exchange of expertise, fine-tuning of project management and validation monitoring through short (one week) visits of senior scientists are predicted as a part of WP2 of project GlowBrain. First senior scientist to visit University of Zagreb School of Medicine was Prof. Franco Rustichelli from Universita Politecnica delle Marche, Ancona, Italy.
Srećko Gajović, coordinator of project GlowBrain, on July 23rd, 2013 made an appearance in the show Croatia live (Hrvatska uživo) on a national public television (HRT).
